TripinView doubles as a Travel website and app, the company aims to aid travelers in finding authentic destinations and help them come up with unique traveling ideas through its advanced platform. Their mission statement says,

“We are determined to give travelers the power to explore, discover and choose vacation destinations by providing information in a unique visual way.”

Currently TripinView offers potential travelers 200,000 photos and 150 hours of video shot from a helicopter of their recommended locations. All destinations are geotagged through aerial photo and video.  The destinations specifically are the coastlines of “sun and beach,” vacation spots. Tripinview started their documentation with the most popular destinations the Mediterranean, Caribbean and South-East Asian coastlines. The majority of Greece’s coastline is already available online, as well as Malta and France’s Mediterranean coast. Recently added were Spain and Corsica’s coastlines. In the month of March Italy should be added.

TripinView allows local business to tag themselves in the aerial photos allowing travelers a unique perspective on where everything is and the services available to them if they are to visit. There is also an opportunity for professional travel agents to connect with TripinView, although it seems that page is being worked on.

While the website is very easy to navigate, I cannot say the same for the app. It seems to only be featuring Greece, while the website makes access to the rest of the countries previously mentioned much easier. From what is available on the app, it’s clear that it has come in useful to some who have left ratings and reviews of the places they have visited.

The website is beautiful and informative and I believe that once the the app is updated with all of the additional countries and information it could be very beneficial to future travelers.
