Krblin Jihn Kabin in Joshua Tree, California

This particular site was a bit out of the way in Joshua Tree, California. Located on Border Road about a block south of Crestview, the Kabin, marker and other interpretive pieces were first revealed to the public on October 23, 2004. Even though there was no formal ceremony for its dedication, it occurred during an event called High Desert Test Sites. The site preserves the remnants of the cabin of the presumed to be fictional Krblin Jihn. Jihn, the legendary interpreter of the Jihn Wranglikan bible according to the Kcymaerxthaere stories, lived for most of his life at this spot under a form of house arrest.

Interestingly, all the storytelling in the footprint of the Kabin itself are in Jihn Wranglikan, but the marker is in linear English–and is written in linear English. You will learn more about that language–more of a dialect– at the site and also more about the civil war that divided a gwome (a bit like a country) of OTGON–which stood for One True God’s Only Nation. The Gspel uv Matthew is also written in Jihn Wranglikan on the walls and Jihn Wranglikan 9 point Kmpass appears on the  floor.

When you find the stone with the marker, be sure to kneel so you can see the framing of the mountain known as Kwale–the Jihn Wranglikan Mount Hermon.  It suggests interesting sympathies by the architect of what was essentially a prison.

When you visit here you will be seeing both that Kcymaerxthaere Marker and a larger Kcymaerxthaere Historical Site (a Marker primarily has a textual presentation;  however about 1 out of 8 installations has a significant additional physical installation as part of of the storytelling–those are called Kcymaerxthaere Historical Sites).  The Krblin Jihn Kabin was the first Kcymaerxthaere Historical Site to be shared.  

Created by Geographer-at-Large Eames Demetrios, the Kcymaerxthaere project divides what we call the Earth in a system of 29 major rezhns and bills itself as a "global work of multivalent storytelling." It has been likened to a novel with every page in a different place.  As Demetrios has said, Kcymaerxthaere is a "parallel universe that intersects with much of our linear Earth, but with different stories, creatures, peoples, even laws of physics and qualities of existence." What makes the Kcymaerxthaere project particularly interesting is that Demetrios installs informative markers and historical sites at the locations in our world that connect to his world, creating real world intersections with his imagined universe. He has installed about a hundred of these markers and historical sites so far and hopes to install hundreds more by the time he is finished.
