Don’t let the winter weather bring you down, especially with all this blizzard nonsense hitting the North East. The craziness of the holidays is over and it’s time for you to kick back and have some fun. Whether you want to party hard or just take in the sites there are plenty of February festivals you don’t want to miss.  Here are four of my favorites that are on my bucket list.

1. The Holi Festival

This 16 day religious festival takes place in India. It is an annual festival celebrated in the spring and takes place on the last full moon of the lunar calendar month Phalguna (typically between February and March). It is a time to pay respect to Hindu legends, and to celebrate the beginning of spring.  Colored powder is typically thrown at each other for decoration and celebration, which sets this unforgettable festival apart.
